    Default Wikipedia & Laser projectors

I was pretty surprised , nae shocked to see wikipedia does not have section related specificlly to laser projectors , as best i can find anyway.

So ... i started one .. very basic , just a few words to get it going .... as i know the greater knowledge on here will fill it full of useful information in due course .......

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_projectors

For anyone who does not know , wikipedia can be edited by anyone at anytime ..without even logging in ...so dont spend a day writing a tomb as some 12 year old know it all will come along at some point and overwrite your conidered words with nonsense ..dont expect what you write to be there in a year ..these articles go though many hundreds of revisions , until eventually when a mod think its comprehensive enough it gets locked but that could take many years.

I havent spent much time on wiki, if you have ,could someone make up the little menu that breaks it into sections ,i think that will make it easier for contributions

    Have fun

    PAUL

    Cool Did anyone see this?

    Check it out:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interna...ay_Association

"Since ILDA's inception in the early 1990s, profit for large laser companies, which developed the technology, have plummeted."

Is this really important information for wiki?

    I mean... boo hoo!

Life goes on for the rest of us.

LOL, this reminds me of what Andrew Keen was going on about in his book "the cult of the amateur".

I can recommend it to anyone who is wondering about the impact of the 'twats'

    Hi Paul

I dont know how to get it back , and im guessing its gonna be hard work trying to convince some one on wikki that has the power to do that,

im guessing the term "Laser Projecters" can encompass many areas so thats why they have made it more specific

I would suggest redoing the page under the title LASERSHOW PROJECTORS as this is a bit more specific to what we discuss

Hopefully you kept a copy of the original page

    all the best .... Karl

Yes. Good point. Or maybe "Laser Vector Projector" (as in not raster).

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

Rob - Nice job on the Wiki!
I've added some more stuff too. I didn't know how much I could pull verbatim from the ILDA site. If anyone knows, we need some amplification in the ILDA section of the Wiki.
