Here is some more examples what can be done. How I wish that Laserboy ILDAs can be opened on all systems.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wppU9xqB1pE

Tools used 3ds Max 6/Illustrate!/TraceIT and Anarchy demo to play frames.
Music is a random tune of di.fm house channel.

SELEM! sounds cool but It's 12 hours away plus I can't bring any of my staff with me because It's a pain in the ass to get it over the border. Even a laptop

I really like the outlined dancers. How did you do that?

I'll keep working on it! I think we can get together enough information and testing to make it work on every system.

Maybe the people who created those systems might offer some insight.

TraceIT. The dancers are some Japaneses dancing girls of a youtube. The trick is to get someone dancing against solid background. The best is to have a black background and very bright clothes. Green top purple belt and blue skirt. The last part is very hard to do because most girls will not wear that no matter what. And if you convince them to wear that they will not dance.

Maybe the people who created those systems might offer some insight.
That would be nice. But I have a strong feeling this will not happened. Guess why?!?

All it should take is a few (small) ILDA files that work in these programs. If I get them and open them in LaserBoy and save them again, I can see the differences. I just need to get my main Linux workstation up and running again so I have a good hex editor!

Spaghetti can open most ILDA files. Send me an ILDA file and if I can't open it I will look into it and tell you why. I think I already mentioned why I couldn't open your format 3 files awhile back.

    The question is...

    When one uses LaserBoy to...

    import DXF,
recolor it to match the default palette of 62 colors
and save it as ILDA (2D with no palette),

...why do some of the other laser apps have trouble with the color and the blanking information.

You can check this out for yourself. LaserBoy runs in XP.

As far as section type 3 is concerned, who cares? Nobody uses that anymore anyway, right?

Page 1 of this topic has a lot of Laserboy ILDA exports.
