    Hi Karl

Didn't see any lasers when I went a couple of years ago, spent a fair bit of time in exhibition halls at the 'shot show'.

It's definately worth having a look around the big hotels such as the Venetian, Bellagio, Ceasars, Luxor etc. They're stunning inside and it just shows what money can buy with the losses of the unsuspecting minions

Also, it's worth taking a helicopter up to the grand canyon if you've not seen it before.

An evening meal in the Luxor steak house is good but Bl**dy expensive, they do a nice port at about $60 a glass I vaugely recall ( I was a guest and thankfully wasn't paying the bill )

    Cheers

    Cool

Hey - wait a minute... This is Karl we're talking about. He won't be interested in the casinos, or the food. Send him to the Chicken Ranch! (Or maybe the Mustang Ranch, even!)

Karl: You do know that they have legal brothels just outside of town in Vegas, right? The Chicken Ranch is supposed to be the oldest one, but I hear the Mustang Ranch is nicer. My wife has family that lives in Vegas, and while they all agree that the Hoover Dam is cool, the Grand Canyon is beautiful, and the shows at the casinos are world class, they also admit that *everyone* needs to at least drive past one of the famous brothels just to say they've seen it.

Back to reality - Blue Man Group is performing out there, and it's supposed to be a great show. (I've seen them in Orlando and Chicago, and it was a lot of fun.) No lasers though...

    cheers Jem & Adam

will Have a look .... defo will have a look at the venetian .... i also saw a tv ad for circus circus where the show is suspended above the gaming tables so want to look at that,

My brother is sorting our the Hotel due to the fact hes a hi roller and all the hotels are comp'd, last time my mum went she stayed at the venetian and stratosphere, all comp'd ( but as you say all paid for by the losses of the unsuspecting minions, but thats ok i will sleep at night )

the luxor steakhouse sounds good, i love a good steak

Adam .... yes i may be pervy and a dirty old man, but even being on the road and away from home for nearly 20 years i have never ever cheated on my wife, how could i, when i have such a beautiful wife and kids .... one night with some whore could destroy the life that i live for.... i have seen so many of my engereering buddies go down that road and it causes so much heartache.

I have put some pictures of my wife and daughter below, how could i cheat on them ?

But on the other hand .... there no harm having a bloody good look

    ( gets off soapbox )

The Blue man group, ..... yes ive seen them on Youtube ... i will check them out

Wise words indeed Karl, you really do have a beautiful family there. You are obviously (and rightly) very proud of them

My only memories of the Circus Circus were trying to fight my way through literally thousands of screaming kids (and I -usually- like children). I think it's one of the few Vegas hotels that doesn't mind children, perhaps it's something to do with the circus

circus circus is kinda cool its the hotel from fear and loathing in Las Vegas (with the carousal bar)
well any way back to lasers i was there in October working for laser design production and i helped one day on an install in Miracle Mile mall at Planet Hollywood ( i don't work for them i was only helping during a busy period for a week so they could catch up )
basically the setup is a 10w arctos feeding 4 fiber heads and running on 4 pangolin cards (.net)

Formerly called the Desert Passage, the mall's Middle Eastern theme now features a more snazzy, futuristic design. From an outdoor 6,000-square-foot LED sign with continuous streaming images to an outdoor sound system, the Miracle Mile Shops definitely spark up the south end of the Strip. If you want to take a break from walking, hop on one of the machine-operated people movers, which directly lead up to the mall entrance. This entrance features a multi-sensory laser show, which plays hourly Monday through Thursday from 11:45 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.. From Friday - Sunday, the show plays every half hour from 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.

    Cool

You are a lucky man indeed, Karl. And rest assured, I was mostly kidding about going to the Chicken Ranch. I know you're not the type to cheat. (For that matter, neither am I. Been married for nearly 22 years now - aniversary is next month - and couldn't ask for a better wife.)

As for the bloody good look - actually all you really want is a souvenier so you can talk smack to your buddies. My sister-in-law bought me a T-shirt that says "Freshly Laid at the Chicken Ranch" a few years back. It's funny as hell, but I can only wear it in certain places. (She was going to purchase one of the "menus" for the place, but she thought I might be offended by the explicit descriptions of the types of services they offer. Imagine that! Me - offended! Silly girl!)

But the Blue Man Group is great. Although the tickets for the vegas act are more expensive than they are for the shows in other cities, compared to some of the other Vegas acts the prices for Blue Man are reasonable. (Blue Man tickets range from from $75 to around $140. By comparison, Cirque-Du-Soleil is $165, and Penn and Teller is $75.) I think Carrot Top is out there as well, so maybe you could catch his act if you can't get in to see Blue Man... (Stomp Out Loud is also very good, btw.)

    Enjoy the trip!

    naa no probs Adam ....

its just that im getting a bit home sick at the moment, and its gonna be another 2 weeks before i get a nice BJ

today has been a badddddday for me .... went into the nestle plant here in mexico today with only a few days left before i finish the comisioning of a new Wrapping system ..... at about 11am we found that someone had forgot to fit a presure sensor on the main chocolate feed...

how we found out was when someone turned the outlet valve off but left the hi presure pump running ... it blew the main gaskets and seals spewing a fountain of chocolate about 30ft in the air over my brandnew $2 million dollar wrapping system

fucking chocolate everywhere ..... the staff started to clean down but within minutes it had gone solid and now its impossible to remove

    heres some lovely photos

guess im coming back after my vegas trip .... that is if they have removed all the choccy by then

    all the best .. Karl
