DIY audio card laser projector pics

Ok, here are some photos of my hacked 1/2W whitelight projector. This projector was built with a minimum budget as a goal.

Basic specs:
bridge's 2-axis dichro mounts
Omega optics dichros
Chinese 30k galvo set
Home-made red 280mW with FlexMod1 and long die open can diode
Home-made green from portable 200mW + tec cooling + FlexMod1 prototype
S-KY blue DPSS 180mW (under evaluation for review)
8-channel USB audio card dac interfaced with James Lehman built coupler.

A few things need to be mounted better and the red is a bit underbowered (the camera makes it look worse than it is), but you get the idea Future plans are to pbs combine another red and mount it all nicely in a box.

Very nice man! Definatly for the budget you have spent so far. Does Laserboy supprt another color channel for bluray?

I'll have to get another revision of LaserBoy out there for you. I think I got the sample shifting working OK, but I have some other weird problem that makes the whole thing crash.

Oh well. I figured out a bunch of stuff since the last update. I'll get it.

If you want to use the 6th channel for violet, you could. I'm not sure what the math looks like to convert RGB to RGBV, but I bet someone else here at the PL has an idea!

Was that scan of the LaserBoy logo done before or after 06-08-2008?

I think the wav was generated with a version before 6-8-2008.

Nice! I just put together a LaserBoy projector myself. It is definitely not as spiffy looking as yours though. I hastily put mine together over this past weekend.

What did you use for a USB sound card? If I could just hook it up to a laptop that would vastly reduce the size of my contraption.

The sound card I used was a 'usb 5.1 channel sound card' search ebay, it's in a blue box. Also read the thread in modifications about the optimal sound card to use (last few pages anyway)
