"ChromaDepth® 3D Standard Glasses are generally used for laser light shows."
We bought 50 pairs of Standard ones and 50 pairs of HD ones and used them at our most recent party. We found:

    - the HD ones are the same as the standard ones, except they have one "blank" lens with no grating in it, so the effect is half as intense but you can see detail better

    - the RGB laser works okayish, as long as you stick to the three primary colours and target zone effects. Mixed colours (like yellow) separate into their components. A true RGBY would work better.

    - the video projector is STRIKING and the effect when it projects onto people is AMAZING- they become surrounded by this cloud of digitally originated texture that follows the curves of their body- amazing. totally amazing.

    - The diffraction gratings (that's what Chromadepth glasses are- blazed diffraction gratings) make dozens of weaker copies of a central very bright beam effect, which looks pretty cool :-)

I remember crummydepth from my days at a planetarium too. I personally hated them for laser. But i bet they would look great with modern cg visuals.
