    Default TraceIT tutorial

Finally it's done and uploading to my server as I'm typing this. I was thinking of using youtube but some parts are more then 10 minutes (Maybe I will cut it and post it in 5 minutes parts later). So I used my own server.

This tutorial should cover basics of converting dancing video to ilda.

    Here they are..

In Paint Shop Pro, there is a way to select the whole image (or an area) and then find an object inside of that based on the idea that there is a background of a somewhat solid color. You can select only those pixels that are different by some number of color values from the background. When you start with an image that is like your dancing girls on a white background, if you can see the difference between the girls and the background, then there is enough of a difference for the computer to see it too; in one step. Once you have found the boundary between the objects and the background you can make the background one color and the object another color by cutting the selected image away, leaving a solid color, inverting the selection and cutting the background away to a solid color. If it can be done in a few steps by hand, then I'm sure I could write some code to do it to a whole bunch of bitmaps in a directory.

Ohh no I forgot to tell that tutorial is just an example. Play around with canvas size in xnview. You will get it right. Canvas size is a size relative to center/left/right/top/buttom For example if you need to get rid of the border you just reduce the size. if the picture is 320x480 and the border is around 5 pixels....do 315x475. and see whats happened. Play around. Then copy those settings into batch converter and here we go

Hmmm. I don't think TraceIT changed recently, or that some versions have features that others don't.

Nevertheless, we have LD2000 version 4.50 available for download from our web site. If you install the 4.50 update, it will automatically install TraceIT for you.

A we also have the very latest (recently updated) versions of FB3 software available from the same page. This includes the latest version of TraceIT for the FB3.
