    Thumbs up

    Congrats mate,

I was thinking about how you could control it live, I know it would be a pain to connect ILDA connection to a moving head, You could put your DAC in the housing, and also a Wireless USB Hub. you wouldnt have to worry about tring to get cables into the housing but still have to ability to have live control

Very nice build mate, Really impressive...!

Would love to see more video, Specially with full moving operation.

Well, there's a very similar one listed, but I do not believe it is the same unit..

I agree with the sentiment of mounting the FB3 in the base, and running a flexible cable to the head, IMHO this is the best way to go. you can make a multi conductor cable that will have great flexibility and allow for a long mtbf, as well as being replaceable. you want your conductors to be loosely bound so they can flex independently of each other, and pre-twist the cable to accomodate the rotation of your moving head (usually not more than a full rotation in the x and 7/8 in the y). if you counter-twist your cable and leave a bit of slack, they can handle this stress easily. if you make your cable easily replaceable, this could be a scheduled replacement item (like the belts in the moving light),and therefore you could maintain a high degree of reliability.

Wow that is awesome! Your own sky writing! I;d love to try that. I'm sure you have said this somewhere, but what power laser are you using? It seems pretty bright on the clouds!

    Very creative!
