    Default ScanPro20 + FB3 connections, HELP!

    Hi,

    I recently reviewed the Scanpro20 galvos with the DMX board attached and I verified that these had a 40degree scan angle.

    ScanPro 20 Specifications:
    • 40º max optical scan angle
    • Signal Input Voltage: -5v to +5v differential
    The signal input is ‘differential’. Expected signal input voltage is -5v to +5v
    (10V p-p). If using with the DMX program board, you will need to connect the signal input – to signal ground.
    Connector pinout (+5V,GND,-5V)

    However, when I connect the FB3, it seems to decrease the scanangle almost by half !!!
    I've been reading the forum, and it seems that I'm not the only one struggling with the FB3 connections.

    The max angle I can get is when I connect it like this:
    FB3: X Signal -> +5V on X galvo amp
    FB3: X Ground -> -5V on X galvo amp (connecting this to GND on galvo amp
    gives even a smaller image)
    GND on X galvo amp is not connected at all.

    FB3: Y Signal -> +5V on Y galvo amp
    FB3: Y Ground -> -5V on Y galvo amp (connecting this to GND on galvo amp gives even a smaller image)
    GND on Y galvo amp is not connected at all.

    Any idea how I can get my 40degree scan angle back ?

    Thanks,
    Wim

    either turn up the input gain on the scan amps, or there is a differential ad on board available from Pangolin
