Well it's a 635 so never really that tight.... Have a look at the pic it is the one in the middle. You can see how it diverges over a long distance...

Yes it just about fits the mirrors, but I use Laserworld scanners and they have big mirrors installed as standard..

    Hi andy ...

i have the lasever 635 400mw in my projector

check out the "banthai beast" thread

like marks .... its great for beamshows but crap for graphics for the reasons mark pointed out

the plus side for me was when i bought it from dave at lasershowparts it was bought as a 400mw ..... when it arrived its doing 660mw so it has a lot of impact.

i would see what these new units and prices are like from medialas
they certainly seem to have better beam specs

im guessing thyey might be pricey .... but you never know

    all the best .... Karl

the reason im going with lasever is, i sent a laset back to them in dec 07 and it never arrive.

they have only just agreed today, 6 months down the line to credit me the money. ive got a credit of about £100 with them.

are the lasever units not focusable? could you not just focus it down to a point at a good distance?

    Andy
The prob with these lasers are that the diodes consist of a small array (thats my understanding anyway) so you will always get a fat beam which by its natur will not focus to a small spot due to it not originating in a small spot in the first place.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
