    Default Custom LivePro MIDI-controller

It has been some time ago that I posted about the projects I'm working on. New laserhousings are going to be CNC-ed very soon, but that's for another topic that I'll make soon

At the moment, I'm designing and building a custom LivePro MIDI-controller. I have the controller-PCB's for max. 64 faders/pots, 64 buttons and 32 LEDs (but I can add more if necessary), the software running on the processor-PCB is working (finished processor-PCB yesterday, inc. LCD) so now it's time for the fun part.. Layout!

It would be great to have some input from other LivePro users, what functions or layout they would recommend.

    Hi Jeroen,

Did you see the LivePRO console made by Hugo? He had an intention to sell them, but due to the relatively high cost, I think he has lost interest.

I think the console he came up with had some merit and good ideas. I was just wondering if you had ever seen one.

A few people have them. Perhaps someone can post a picture and some additional information?

    Best regards,

    William Benner

    Hi Bill,

Yes, I've seen the LivePro Controller made by Hugo. I've done quite some events as lighting operator where Laser Image supplies lasers (Awakenings, Q-dance). The controller is nice indeed, but way to expensive and not ideal for everybody (has functions nobody uses and misses functions people would like to use). However, the internal track-strobe function (kind of "chaser" enabling/disabling tracks with changeable speed) is great!

I would like to start with an empty piece of "paper" and see what other people think about the layout, pots/faders/buttons, etc.

    Regards,

    Jeroen

Prototype will run on the Midibox64 software, when it's finished I'll make a software-version especially for this controller, ofcourse based on the Midibox64 software.
