    Default hello

i dont want to worry you as your driver board and adaptor seems more pro and new.

Also the beam is clearly alot better then te reds.

here are some pics of the red that i bought.

PS: check your PMīs for the power meter as i dont knowif im allowed to make any comersials for the dude selling the power meter yet.

As you can see in the pictures below the laser head has some serious scratches to it and the driver board is even missing some screws and the it clearly has been opened also the cables seems to be from an old traktor. ehehe.

    although it still produces 800mw.

I think I was lucky... there are no doubts that your unit is not new at all.

Thank You for your PM, as I wrote you, I will probably buy it

    Default Waiting Patiently...

I ordered a piece of dichro from these guys over a month ago and have yet to receive anything- the good news is that I FINALLY noticed some activity on the tracking number today. Man, overseas shipping is a pain sometimes

I've dealt with snoctony for hundreds of dollars worth of
Lasers in the past year... And I have never had a problem
    with them.
They are courteous... friendly and professional in their
    communications.

Don't Forget that the Xmas season wreaks havoc with
the Global Postal Systems from 3 weeks before and after
    Xmas...

I bought from him last month a 808nm LD to change the burned one in my greenie(200mW)
    I've purchased it(marked as) as 3000mW,but it says "i am 1W diode"
It died at 1520mA,and the voltage was 2,2V!!!!Too much for a 808nm laserdiode.
Datasheets point for c mount 3W 808nm LD: CW current is 3400-3600mA,not 1520mA!!!
I'd contacted him, waiting for his response.

If it was marked as 1W LD... why did you drive it to 1520mA...
Plus we don't know what kind of Electrostatic precautions were
taken or what type of Driver that was used...

I have never had a problem with Snoctony... If you have a problem I would
suggest you get a hold of the Seller and see what he says...
You have not mentioned if you even tried to communicate with him or what
    he responded to you...

When you saw that the LD was marked "I am a 1W diode" as you stated above...
why did you over power it before contacting the seller...
Any resonable person would have questioned that 1W marking...
The Blown LD is your own fault from what you stated and not the fault of the
    Seller.
The seller is responsible for send out the wrong LD if indeed you ordered a 3W...
