    Talking LaserBoy 07-17-2008 !!!

    Check it out!

    http://hacylon.case.edu/laser/LaserB...07_17_2008.zip

Now you set your preference in LaserBoy to match your DAC; either inverted or not.

Go into UI visuals and toggles.

    u //
d // turns inverted wave output on and off.
[Esc] // to get back to main

If you choose to invert your wave out, LaserBoy will detect the inversion when it imports its own waves back in as vector data, but you must choose to watch the waves on the screen inverted. This is to remind you that your waves really are inverted! You can not play them on another DAC that is not inverted! You must invert them again to make them positive going waves.

b // to enter wave utilities
1 // to enter wave show settings
4 // to toggle inverted on and off
[Esc] // to exit wave show settings
3 // to show a wave on the screen
(wave_name) [Enter] // to open and play the wave on the screen
[Any Key] // to wipe the screen and get back to wave utilities
7 // to choose a wave to invert
(wave_name) [Enter] // to invert the wave and show its stats
[Esc] // to exit wave utilities back to main

Talking The word of the day!

    GRIBYX Is the word!

At least as far as this USB sound device goes.

If you look at the back of the card with the output jacks on the bottom, you can see the channel outputs for a LaserBoy wave in this order.

Green, Red, Intensity, Blue, Y, X

    GRIBYX !!!

    Smile HELLO!!

Sorry I've been out of town, and still out of town. No projector with me . I also havent been keeping up to date in the forum...

Sounds like you have been working on LaserBoy quite a bit since the last time I checked! I'll have to take it out for a spin once I get home.

    Keep up the good work!!

    Default LaserBoy 07-19-2008

drlava pointed out that the optimization routines didn't really get rid of the blanked over-traced vectors!

    Thanks!

    So here it is.

    Hi James
    Congrats with new release

I would like to see the code of some functions in your sources. Which compiler did you use, is it GNU GCC?

I use Dev-C++. Yes. It is GNU GCC.

    http://www.bloodshed.net/

Once you get it installed, go to the online package updater and get SDL (Simple Directmedia Layer).

My code comes with LaserBoy.dev and Makefile.win. All you have to do is double click on LaserBoy.dev and it will open the whole project in Dev-C++!

    Talking LaserBoy 07-19-2008 v2 !!!

    I just release LaserBoy 07-19-2008 v2 !!!

    http://hacylon.case.edu/laser/LaserB...19_2008_v2.zip

My friend Dean kept picking on me 'cause he though his bitmap line function made better looking drawings, so I rewrote mine! It does look smoother!
