Bravo Rob! It's been a long while since that connector fried. Glad to hear you were able to fix it up right. I'm sure the lads at the UK meet will be thrilled that you'll be bringing your 168 again!
Adam
Dammit man... we have to wait all day for you to come down before pictures...![]()

Well done Rob.
It looks like we've both got are tickets for the meet now. If you remember Andy Con said we are not getting in with out your 168 and my harp. Must make a grand entrance when we land.
I've had the harp out for practice and by god i'm rusty on it. Moving floor boards don't help when I stand on one and pull all the beams out of line with the sensor cross bar.
Looking forward to seeing that white beam next.
Carl
Wahoo!! we're cookin' on gas
Looks like a very nice machining job there sunshine, very well done
Is it just me, or does that connecter look a bit like the PL Retardo Smily?
Did you make all of those parts in your own shop? Excellent work man! It's probably better than factory.

Cheers guyz
Not out the woods yet but this is the major hurdle as for the last 5 1/2 months the 265 exciter was an unknown - didnt know if it had suffered any damage when the connector shorted out so this is a major step in the right direction. Just lifted it down from its high shelf and then im gonna have a go at getting it aligned.
Cant wait to run some shows on it with my QM32![]()
As for the machining I have been very careful with every step of making the parts - This is why its taken so long From Brass stock to machined pins probably took me best part of a week of my spare time, then there was drilling the biscuits, I tell ya if I had to price this up in terms of my hours it would make ya eyes water!
Will post some more pix later
