Indeed its coherent and its multi-line and I have found a fault in the exciter. It seems the light meter is non functional which is not a surprise to me as the destroyed pin in the connector was one of 3 wires/pins that connect to the optical feedback circuit. I did examine the board from this the other day half expecting to see some dead bits but it seems whatever has died has gone peacefully. Still its no great shakes as appart from giving front panel light output indication the circuit only sees service in light mode - which I never run the laser in anyway.
Just in the process of walikng the mirrors) in between repairing the mechanism for operating the softop on Sues car (bloody Italian electrics - damn them) but I will have PCAOM scanners and smoke tonight so will furnish some pix then.
I am still buzzin like a really buzzin thing

Well I take back what I said! The light meter circuit is just fine - I discovered accidentally that one of the tiny wires that connect to the photodiode was broken off - a swift resolder job and the light meter is functional!
Thats a fine piece of machinery that 'ol 265

That's what I'm talkin bout! Now we will need videos of all the beam shows you have.
Very nice work, Rob! Glad to see you got it working again. C'mon now, you know you want to drag that thing to SELEM!
edit-Question, how are you running that thing? 3phase isn't standard in England, is it?!
