Cool Inside of my laser or microsurgery at home

We all like pictures - the more is the better. Thinking of it I decided to share my experience...
Preface: Last year I bought a laser pointer and since then I'm a laser addict. It wasn't interesting just pointing to distant objects (and blinding innocent people ) so I decided to build a laser projector. After two month of hard work it was done. I was happy and carefree... until this weekend...
I decided to realign the laser a bit and take the module from projector. Suddenly it jump out of my hands and fell down to the table. And it didn't produce the beam any more. I was very upset. But when I knocked the module gently it sparked randomly so I decided it can be resurrected. I had nothing to lose so I prepared for the surgery...
    Here are the comments:
Photo 01 - Sorry, my green chinese friend (75mW)
    Photo 02 - Projector's intestine
Photo 03 - My Stealth in action
Photo 04 - Here is a problem. Do you see that copper wire in the upper right corner? It was unsoldered.
Photo 05 - I was amazed how small the IR diode is, its almost invisible, but blind you in a moment.
Photo 06 - What's the stuff next to IR? Is it a capacitor? Do you know?
Photo 07 - New wire is soldered and ready to go.
Photo 08 - A bit of thermo-epoxy will ease the hard life of IR.
Photo 09 - IR in the case.
Photo 10 - After the surgery - a place of pain.
    Photo 11 - It's alive, alive!!!
Photo 12 - The direction of the beam can be corrected by moving the blue wire back and forth.
Photo 13 - Collimating lense has been added.
Photo 14 - Final tuning, pretty cool, it shines like in his childhood.

And now ... the pictures, enjoy!
