    Cool

I did too - earlier this morning (around 10 min before 9 AM) when I had a couple minutes to check PL before getting back to work. Noticed the link right away and decided to donate on the spot. Took all of 30 seconds.

I agree it's for a worthy cause. And I don't need a balance sheet of expenses to figure out how much to give, either. I know it's expensive to run this forum, and I know Spec has been paying for it out of his own pocket for several years now.

Put another way, how much is this site worth to a struggling hobbyist that has lots of questions and no answers? Not to mention the social value it adds by bringing us all together.

I donated. I like small sites with a lot of brainpower. The senior members have already saved me hundreds of dollars in mistakes.

been busy for the last few days .... so just spotted this thread and the button....

something that needed to be done

and after i donated i had a warm feeling inside .... no i did not piss myself

    A sugestion for Spec .....

on other forums i frequent ... ( and no.... not the gimp-mask forums ) they also have a donate system .... but as people donate they show how long it will pay for the servers ... example ....

Thank you for your generous donation. Your Donation Will Be Used To Pay For our ever increasing bandwidth costs, our hosting Service, domain registration, software licensing fees, and maintenance Costs Only! Information

So far Gimp-mask-forums has receieved donations to keep us online until the:

    17th September 2008
the good side of this is that people check when its getting close to running low on funds and start donating, without the mod/host "begging" for more funds ....

not that Spec is begging as he has been the financial benifactor to these forums since it started and this a chance for all of us to return some apreciation for what he has done over the years

Spec ..... a big thank you from me buddy

    all the best ... Karl
