Wow, thanks for all the advice guys.
Jem gave me a demo today of the Pangolin Software, he has LD2000 suite I think.
What can I say, Live Pro is truly awesome, far better than the main program, although Showtime is good. I'd always viewed Live Pro as an "also ran", not so! Its truly awesome!
Having seen what I've seen, if you can afford Pangolin software, even if only the FB3 device, get it. I've played with demos of a few programs but nothing else comes close in my opinion.

There is another that states that this has already happened.”... Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001
I gotta second that.. I just made the jump to LivePro this week. Holy crap! This software is awesome!Live Pro is truly awesome
I'm still lost in it - so much to learn! But it's damn powerful software, that's for sure. Can't wait for FLEM now... Gonna be great!
If you haven't seen Live Pro in the hands of a master, you won't have a clue what it can do. Francesco (Uncle Worm here on PL) put on an incredible demo at SELEM, and that was the diving force behind my upgrade. But now that I've had a chance to play with it a little bit, I see that he was only using a small amount of the full power of this program.
It's hands-down the best, most full-featured live player I've ever seen. And even though I thought the Winamp Laser Visualizer plug-in was cool, it is *nothing* compared to what you can do in LivePro...
A more complete review will follow once I figure out how to use everything!

Jem showed me a few things but we only probably touched on the tip of the iceberg. Unfortunately we didn't have an ILDA lead to hand so it was done on the laptop only but was still enough to convince me of the worth of the software. One of the nice things about it is its simplicity. I'm not saying its not complex underneath, it probably is, its just that a lot of the obvious things work the way you expect them to, you simply select or drag and drop and things work.
One of the effects I love from the Ministry.SK videos, if you've ever seen them is a liquid sky type effect but flat where it changes colour by wiping across like a video transistion eg. You have a blue fan across the entire room overhead, then it wipes across from one side to the other changing to eg red as it goes, then pauses then wipes again to another colour etc. I'd always wondered how it was done. Jem showed me. You simply select a fan effect then that from the list of tranisitions and apply it to the fan. Wow! Such a complex effect so simply made.
The other great thing is when you make effects like that, its then possible to add them into standard effect pallet so they're instantly available for furture use without any need to recreate them.
The sound to light was really good also how you could make the system roll through all the different effects in different ways from a sequentially, to a specific row, to random, to different rows of effects assigned to different beats / types of beats.
Awesome!
