    Looks to me like they just projected on to a sheet of scrim, which is a fine netting that is used as a transparent screen. It can make the image look like it's hanging mid-air.

    That show is sick though.. very nice.

    im guessing rear projection onto a scrim. i fink thats how its spelt. hehe with some nice zooming effects on the show

    There's a scrim in there, but I also think there might have been a water screen (a sheet of mist from a framework of nozzles) but it could just be fog. Also, at about 8:10 or so there's a woman dancing, she's not from a laser projector (unless it's the smoothest raster imaging I've ever seen)..
