637nm mixed with a 671nm? that's going to look gorgeous!

yes, got a dichro coated for 635/660, but it works fine, very low loss aswell,

Tempted to add the medialas 447nm 1200mw now, mix it with my 473nm,

i have only played with the two reds mixed, but the colours are much much nicer,

Will you modulate the 637 an 671 separately?

please bring the medialas red to the meet if you can, i am certainly thinking of upgrading to one in the future and would love to see it running in the flesh .....

I plan to modulate it from a seperate channel on the ld2000, hope this will work ok,

Karl, it will be there, i am trying to fit it into my projector, but i dont think i have enough room, the new steelwork wont be ready in time,

Its a pity they only do the nicer colours in the higher powers. It seems that if you want 447 or 635 you have to have a module > 500mw which means BIG £ / $.

Would be nice to see these colours available in < 300mw.

    Exclamation Can be cheaper

It is a same wavelenght as Kvant's 640. Interestingly, 150mW diodes are used inside those modules and Kvant's 450mW / 640nm does not get so hot. And cost only 960 euros.
Also you could get it in 300mW and 150mW as well.

    Hi,

The medialas diodes only get hot if they arnt mounted on a proper plate with heatsink,

I am very happy with the diode so far, and without disrespect, the beam is still much better than the kvant,

I am beginning to like the prices kvant now have, maybe there 1 watt blue will reduce and find its way into my RRGB,
