Hello ppl.
Today i wanted to test my "LaserWorld" 50K scanners/galvos.
i connected everyhting from the schematics and fired it up toghether with the Easylase USB DAC. (Thnx for the drivers JM.)
Anyway. they seem to work fine and i runed the Easylase test software.
But just after a few sec i felt some strange smell, and felt the scanners and driver boards.
One of the driver boards and Scanner gets extremly hot. i mean really hot. After maby just 1min the mirror on the scanner started to losen its glue becouse of the heat so i turned it off.
I double checked the cables/wiring and everything seems fine.
Although i noticed one thing on the powersuply when testing it with a "Electrical Power Meter" the V+ and V- gives out nearly 50Volts.
While if i test the V+ to the Ground or V- to the ground i get 24 Volts.
On the power suply it says 24Volt out. and i checked the Scehmatics and it says the scanner driver board should be connected to V+ 24V and V- 24V.
im getting really confused here. any body else got these scanners and maby can test if the also get nearly 50Volt if they test the V+ and V-.
Could it be that the powersuply is faulty or perhaps the driverboard.?
here is a pic.
Thank you.
