Default Jet Turbine Go kart - Swap or for laser stuff? WHY

Fancy a change of hobby or just an addition to your 'dangerous' lifestyle?

I am offering my Jet Turbine Go Kart for a swap or swap and cash for laser equipment - What have you got???

It comes with everything you need to run it including several bottles of Propane + a very expensive hand operated Propane pump to transfer gas from the Propane bottles to the on-board tank.

Main engine runs on propane but the afterburner will run on just about anything liquid and flammable - not neat petrol, methanol etc though as it is to dangerous!

Comes with trailer, lightboard and straps + lots of paperwork and air starter.

Warning - this IS a dangerous vehicle if used incorrectly but I will give safety precautions/instructions to the new owner.

The new owner must be of sound mind and fairly switched on as to what this vehicle is about. A basic understanding of jets and how they work will also be a help!!

It is also VERY noisy and hearing protection MUST be worn by the operator!

There are videos of it on youtube, search for username 'smogthemog' or 'jet turbine go kart' and it's also featured here at the bottom of my Blog pages along with my other twin turbo jet project:

O.M.G. Jim... That is just AWSOME !!!!

Sorry, I don't want to buy it but... How fast does that thing go?

I bet you need lots of spare underwear when you run it

    Cheers

It's previous owner has ran it at 80MPH, +/- a few, at Bovingdon airfield but ran out of runway before it reached it's peak.

The turbo charger that is on it, a Garrett TV81, and the leaf blower starter where the actual ones that featured on the scrapheap challenge 'jet racers' episode. It's previos owner and builder is Nick Haddock - that was the team captain on the SHC episode.

It has a claim to fame

EDIT - I am sure I will think of extra bits and bobs to add on here as time goes by, it's all flooding back to me at the moment

There are quite a few spare bit's that will come with it also.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
