scanner size pots

i lack a differential on my FB3(thus reducing scan size in half) can a quick fix be to increase the size pots on the scanner amp?

It depends on the amp. If you'd get full size with a differential signal and the size pot at half size you could also get full size with a single-ended signal with the maximum setting on the size pot.

As for what amps can do this... well, you'll just have to ask around.
