Default Something wild - no lasers...

    but pretty amazing...
I was at one of my customers offices yesterday and looked out the window to see an amazing sight. Its a giant - and I mean giant mechanical spider. See pix.
As far as I am aware its to do with an event taking place in Liverpool on 5-7th Sept. and is part of a French art project called 'La Machine' this is what they did in London a few years ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ2elHYRJf4 with a giant mechanical girl and elephant and the Liverpool one is supposed to be bigger still!
Fortunately I had a camera with me - not my normal one which is a shame so took a few images not as good as I would have liked but you get the effect - note the comparison in size to the double decker bus!

If you live in the north west of England I think this is one not to miss - arrives in Liverpool on 3rd Sept and they are currently digging up the roundabout at the Liverpool entrance to the Birkenhead mersey tunnel (these pix are taken in Birkenhead) - I think the spider might be walking through the tunnel!
Imagine seeing that come out of the Mersey tunnel - you would kak yourself!

    I cant wait.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

I'm with you there, Marc. I hate spiders too. Seeing that damn thing walking up the side of a building would be enough to cause me to loose control of my bodily functions.

And yeah, I know it's not a spider, but this freak of nature creeps me out to no end.
