my personal opinion is they are quite good

but they are not 50k .... they can be tuned to 50k after replacing the mirrors with smaller units ( well thats what it states in the manual )

but for me they ran the ilda test at 30k well straight outa the box so i was happy

    the plus points
i have ran them continious for hours and they do not get hot ...
they are well made with large heat sinks on the amps
they use quality cables and connectors
    good PSU
    good mirrors
in fact they are the best copy 6800s i have seen and used

at the meet simon and mark told me thiers are not 100% linear
and i did notice a bit of non linearity when doing the pangolin raster scans

but on the whole they are a great set of galvos

Price wise ... and im asuming you are looking at thier Ebay auctions ... they seem to go for between 165 and 280
i was lucky i won mine for 180 and at that price they are well worth it
and i would say even at 250 they are a bargain

    all the best .... Karl

I have a pair. Got on ebay for €250 and they work very well and don't get hot. I would recommend them especially on ebay, as they sell them on their website for a quite high price...I don't remember exactly, guess something around €600...

I like mine, I bought them about 3 months ago and have been very pleased with the price and the quality. They are by no means 50K scanners but they do produce a very clean 30K image at a fairly wide scan angle after a good tuning session. As mentioned in the above posts, the galvos do not produce any noticeable heat dissapation. The amps do get a little warm so I added two brushless fans to each amp.

Though I have limited experience with other galvo sets, I have been very happy with them.

    Thanks for your reply's guys.

That's v helpfull. Especially about the not really being 50k unless you change the mirrors and tune them. I'm not one for tunning scine I don't have the time, pateints or a steady hand but I'd be doing this for beams anyway so driving them hard for less flicker would probably be fine.
