    well i would not have considered it at all until finding this forum, never been too good at DIY and lacking the tools probably too!

    Think it will be best to go for a built one and then upgrade it as nessarcary, learning step by step when i take apart my old ones

    looks like that Lanta Laser i bought will be the first to get 'operated' on lol!!

    btw i love taking things apart but have problems putting them back together hehe

    i think we all like to take stuff apart... its the learning how to put it back together thats the fun part!

    the other RGB unit i am looking at is a 'Poseidon 500C RGB'

    I have an AT Laser (Athene 1) and the inbuilt patterns are very impressive.
    I wouldn't hesitate in getting another one.
