Cool New Member: Seeking to enter the 'laser world' - hi!!

    Hello PL

Just saying hello after spending a few hours last night reading up on here helped alot with some basic questions, so i will skip them lol

will soon be joining the world of RGB lasers but wanted to check up on some products after looking around fleabay and seeing some good bargins

i did buy a small 180mW RGY laser (Lanta) this year already for my soundsystem show - was not overly impressed by what it can or supposed to do tbh, but then again i aint no expert in this field

so the idea of making graphics and logo's has inspired me to fork out for a nice RGB unit with software so i can try and market it for rental and make my money back; since funds are tight i was looking firstly at the Laserworld RS series but after reading about TTL vs Analog i think its better to fork out more for the analog Proline series (750mW version would suit me i think)

can anyone give any advice about this?

look forward to having a good discussion soon

    rich

    Bonjour and welcome.

The idea of making money with Lasers is a dream that only a small percentage of peeps achieve.
Creating Graphics and Logo's is a time consuming business (and that's once you've forked out on the necessary software).

    It's an expensive hobby.
It's an even more expensive business if you want to go down the road of doing it professionally.

Stick with option 1 and give yourself over to the light !!

    thanks for that

also the laser is for doing very impressive shows with my soundsystem

i'm a professional DJ who does his own events in Europe, and i'm always looking for the wow factor to everything i do!!!

running a small equipment hire business too, so i dont think it would be that hard to make the money back after a year or three :P

soforene - i dont understand what u mean when u say go for option 1 and give yourself over to the light??!!?? did u mean go for the RS series?

He can speak for himself soon enough ......

But i think he means GIVE YOURSELF OVER TO THE LIGHT ...just try and enjoy for th love of LASER LIGHT .

Mainly as its very hard to justify the expenditure you really need to do it well , you wont really understand that until your at leastn a couple of grand out of pocket .....going the RGB route ........ pfffff expect to remortage if you want SPECTACULAR

    and welcome

    Exactly.
Set all your lasers going, strip naked and dance wildly in the beams.
