WANTED: breadboard or allum. plate

im looking for a plate to start building my projector and wanted to see if anyone here had a breadboard or an aluminum plate they aren't using anymore.

any size bigger than 12x12 and smaller than 18x14 would be best.


i also dont mind if there are some holes drilled in them as long as they are in usable shape.

help me out

I have mega plates of aircraft grade allum.
5X5 ft. sheets by 1/2 in.
So make it back up to Oregon and i will kick some down to you!

My plate is 1/2" thick and I think I overdid it. Next time I will go with 1/4" and save a whole lot of money and weight.

Yeah I can do that,but it will be atleast a week,

I like the 1/2 in. plate it is a great heat sink for multiple DPSS's etc.
zero flex in any condition.i have used the 1/4 in. plates and it just did not cut it!

A good place to get Allum. is boat builders tons of the stuff laying around

What did you not like about the 1/4" plate? Doesn't seem like flex would be an issue as long as it is supported properly. Heat wise, it is no worse than a 1/2" plate since surface area is practically the same.
