Default Technical drawings of Laser Products

    Hi fellow PL members

As part of the planning for my projector I sat down and made Visio stencils of the Lasers and other Optical components that I have.

    These include:
Laserwave - Lasers, Power Supplies and Optics
Lasever – Laser and Power Supplie
    Cambridge – Scanners 6210H
Medialas – Scanner Amps and Scanner mounts
And some others bits and pieces

See below for some .JPG examples

So, I’m going share with the group and allow anyone to download and use them, this includes any of you guys with shops to include in a data sheet section or whatever other way you see fit to use them (this includes manufactures (Bridge and the likes))

Obviously this is only useful to people with access to Microsoft Visio however I have also saved sheets in PDF and as .JPG that should print out real size (at A4) For anyone that doesn’t have Visio. BTW, I think you can still download a 30 or 90 trial version from Microsoft.

Additionally, I take no responsibility for any inaccuracy in them. USE AT YOU OWN RISK! If there are inaccuracies please let me know and I’ll fix them.

The question is where’s the best place to put them? FTP site, Gallery? (Can you put other file types in the gallery? (.PDF, .VSS and .Zip) can everyone get to the FTP?

Also, I will be adding to this with new stuff when I buy it (soon to add two new Laserwave lasers) and I may also willing to add to it for manufactures (PM me if interested)

    Enjoy
    Troy

    that is a great idea!!!!!

Did you make the drawings yourself?
    Great work!

    I'm interested in the drawings.
Hopefully you can upload them to the PL FTP server.

That I did, all measurements where taken from the actual units

    Hi all
I’ve updated the Visio stencils and uploaded them in various formats (Visio, Autocad, PDF, and JPG) to the FTP site.

    The set now includes:

    Laserwave LWBL473-250mW
    Laserwave LWGL532-200mW
    Laserwave LWRL635-400mW
    Laserwave OEM Laser Controller
    Laserwave 15mm Optic Mounts
Lasever 532nm 200mW Laser and Power Supply
    Cambridge 6210H scanners
Medialas Microamps, power supplies and 6210H mounts
    + Other sundry items

Have a look at the FTP site under: /ilda/Technical Documentation/PDF - JPG Drawings for JPG drawings. (also see below for examples in reduced size)

Also I’ve converted most of it to sheets of component then saved them as PDF’s, this way even if you don’t have Visio/CAD you can still print out the PDF’s and cut them up to work out placement for a projector. I also exported them to CAD (.DWG)

    Enjoy

That's really nice work. It would be nice to have some library of these things so that projector design could be done by combining all of the necesseary objects.

    Carmangary, Totally agree

That’s one of the reason that I've shared them on the FTP server, when I did my design I had nothing to go off, and most laser manufacturing companies don't detail the sizes or mounting details in any usable form.

Also, I've offered to add to the library as these drawing are from devices that I own so I can only add to it if I have something to go off otherwise it a bit hard to add anything.
