I’d be keen on one, even at $1000

How about if he’s not interested in building them to get him to share the design with us so we can, or maybe with bridge to build them with a commission

I'm working a combining optic for 4 and 8 beams, you use two of the optics, one for 635 and one for 658 nm, then you combine the two different wavelengths with a polarzer cube. I have the prototype glass in my hand, it just needs a coating run in a commercial coating lab. beam pattern is a star shaped dot one point five times the size of the collimated input beams, or less. Stay tuned.

c'mon simon i want to know more about this project of yours ??
also what diodes are about and how much do they cost??
i have space on my 4x red for a couple more lasers can you advise on how much power i can get for least amount of money? i think 150 / 200mw would be nice but i have no idea of diode costs or even if it will work with my setup

Whats the story with the progress on these diodes? I'd be interested in a 1W

Sorry man... he has given up on the reds and is now focusing on homemade blues, 473nm.
