well you would need the diode its self, i would suggest joining laserpointerforum as lots of people on there sell them.

    Andy,

I posted a link else where (Advanced Forum I think) to a guy who already sells completed projectors on Ebay.

When I read his specs, I found out that he uses modified mirrors - apparently the standard coatings aren't very good at reflecting 405 and absorb quite a lot.

On this basis, it looks as though you might need to get a coating to help them reflect 405.

I know the one's he sells use 150mw diodes underspecced to 100mw for reliability.

I've never heard of a 200mw Blu Ray Diode but I bet there's one out there somewhere. Its almost certain that a Blu Ray Writer will have a more powerful diode I would think as I'm sure thats what happens with DVD players and writers.

all PHR-803t sled diodes are speced to run at 100ma cw

there is a member on LPF that has a diode running at 100ma (about 90mw)
for over 2 months now and for a while he has had it turned up even higher 130ma now i believe.

still hasnt blown as far as i have read.

i just shined my 405nm through my dt40 pro scanners and it seems the power isnt lost very much.... no light comes through the mirrors but since the beam specs are hard to get small it seems like it overshoots the second mirror and goes over unless its PERFECTLY aligned.

i have no power meter this is just from experience. and my own opinion and eyes.

    here are some pictures.

here is the beam through scanners...

    the overshoot...

and the beam without the mirrors...

and here is some dichro shots meant for reflecting 473

    this is refecting....

    this is not reflecting.

I have problems with the 405nm beam after the LW dichro's.

It gets really distorted almost like a small LINE..
But hey.. can't complain because the dichro's aren't made for 405nm

i havent had a problem with the Laser Wave dichros at all beam wise.

what dichro is causing the problem?

check the last post on the first page of this thread and you will see the pictures i posted with the dichros and 405 and the beam is the same.

maybe the beam is hitting the side of the mount?
