What's the difference between lite and pro versions of dot monkey, other than the pro version you are charged per image

The main difference is that Dot Monkey Pro includes many more resources and you use Dongle loaded with the predetermined quantity of image transactions (credits) and Lite is a much simplified application and the difference is literally "skin" deep and Lite requires no dongle and is yours for a one time licence fee, nothing more to pay and both convert to file ILDA.
