Help with USB sound card DAC?

Well, today I got my sound card!

I soldered wires on for G, X and Y.

Now here come the questions. It scans, and the ILDA test pattern is square looking, BUT, stuff is wayyy off!

So, first, do you NEED a amp? Would it matter if you didnt? ie: the output would just be smaller?

2nd, where does the ground/ - signal of the TTL and galvo's go, on the sound card?

3rd, how exactly do you get Windows to recognise it as the easylaze DAC, so I can play laseroids etc.

4th, The blanking is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off.

Anyone know the answers to any of these questions?

Yes, you need a correction amp. Get one here:

You can't connect the galvos and modulation straight to the sound card, the voltages are wrong and offset.

first off the ilda test pattern is not something you can use with the sound card dac and laserboy since you cannot change the speed of the scanners down to 12000 or whatever the ilda test pattern likes.

what do you mean do you need an amp? is your sound card some how hooked up
do you not have one of these?

the amp is the board on the bottom with the ilda cable coming out.

and i have mine wired all to the ground wire on the ilda cable that does run back to the ground on the sound card so that would work just fine.

for the blanking if you are using laserboy you can adjust the blanking by doing this.
from the main menu
press B (laserboy utilities)
press 4 (set desired offsets
then try 7 and press enter (that will change the offset for the x and y scanners)
(also try changing that around i have had best luck with 7 give or take 1 but you should be able to play around with that )
then back out of that menu to the utilities again
and press 5
then a list of your wave files will pop up in the right side
just type the wave file you want adjusted and press enter it will load and then once done the blanking will now be changed

I can adjust the speed of the test pattern, as I used spaghetti to test it. The LaserBoy waves dont wanna play for me
