    Hey Bill,

    Thanks for answering my questions.
When I said API or SDK to the FB3 hardware, I was assuming that I could talk directly to the driver (FB3*.sys). Without LAstudio or LiveQuick running! I wouldn't want two programs talking to the FB3 anyway...

I would just like to make an application where a laserbeam would follow a couple of motiontrackers. I don't know why, but it sounds like fun when you can draw an image in the air by just waving your hands :-)

So, If Beyond will give me that possibility I'll wait for it. Oh, and if you need a betatester *just* for that Usecase, you know where to find me

Just thought I’d post that I’ve uploaded a video of the Rhythm is a Dancer show for those that don’t have LD2000

    http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=baNkxAfNr0g

Very impressive show, I think this truly shows the abilities of the QM Hardware

Thanks Bill for arranging to get these shows shared amongst users
(And thank for your prompt response to my networking issue)

Any chance of running this properly without CT scanners?

Oh my, that is truly impressive. I wonder if the dancing is animated or if he just captured some dancers and traced it. I'm guessing the latter.

I doubt my scanners could play it properly though...

That looks like traditional rotoscoping, where you load a video one frame at a time and hand trace it, very time consuming, but beautiful. Its one place where we humans can still beat the machines when it comes to digitizing motion.

No problems with G120D + Turbotrack II (tuned to 30k).

This is probably the best show I've ever seen.

Anything that can do 30K should be able to do it (that is the point to the whole 30K standard tuning thing)

I'd assume that the VST application would have been used for the dancers. VST is the video capture application (same/similar to the Medialas one included with Mamba Black, same technology)

    Bill maybe able to elaberate

I'd also like to know what made this show win third place and not first, I think it is truly a first place winner as it shows the technical merit of the LD2000 system and some of the effects are outstanding. Don't get me wrong the "Standing in motion" show is still a very good show.

What made the "Standing in motion" show stand out to win first place?

    Cool

An interesting side note about the "Rythm is a Dancer" show... The guy that created it did not have a laser projector to view it on. Thus he didn't know if the show would flicker badly or not. But he entered it in the award contest anyway!

Personally, it's my favorite graphics show. I voted for it to be #1, but everyone else liked the "We are the Champions" show better...

And yeah, on a 30K set of scanners it looks great. Even at 20K, the show doesn't flicker very much, even with the raster elements near the end. (Look closely at the lights; the bulbs are rasters!)
