Paul;
Do you want me to bring my mixer, or do you have it covered?
I'll bring an Ethernet switch, my oscilloscope (just in case) and a bunch of tools and cables. Oh, and my projector (natch)! I'll also bring the scrim and the stands. Might bring a few other toys if I have time.
Do we need a screen?
Adam
Adam,
Between you and zurch- let me know what input connections you need-
if you want to bring the mixer that would be cool- otherwise I can conjour up something-
I'll have speakers and an amp rack though-
As far as the screen- bring the scrim for sure. I dont think I will have any smaller screens
available that weekend- so with the scrim maybe we will skip the screen-
Let me know
go big or go home
RCA for me. I hate to hear we may not have a screen other than the scrim though.
Paul;
I've got both RCA and quarter-inch outputs from the mixer. I also have adapters to go back and fourth from both, plus a few 1/8 inch adapters to connect to the computers. What do your amps have on the inputs?
David;
If you really think we need an opaque screen, we can always hang a white sheet from the ceiling. I've got the pipes to weight it down if you want to go that route...
Adam
amp racks ar pre rigged with xlr- its the only thing I use- we'll work it out-
I have lots of screens but they are 10.5 X 14 or bigger- I only have a few small ones
like 7.5 X 10 or 9 X 12 , and at this point those will be tied up- I'll see what I can do-
they smallest console I have is 40 channels- so thats out of the question-
if we can use rca in/outs from the computers- then I can bring a nice 2 channel dj mixer I have which would be more than plenty
go big or go home
My mixer (Alesis Studio 24) has balanced audio output on 1/4 inch jacks, and I've got some 1/4 inch to XLR adapters. That should work...
As for the screen - if you can't get one we'll make do. Like I said, a sheet is better than nothing. (And if you weight it down it works quite well)
Will we be able to have Internet access again?
Adam
yes, if needed we can tap the dsl- i'll figure out which phone number has the service so we can tap it quicker this time-
go big or go home
That is a lot of knobs.
Damn Paul!!!
Now *that's* what I call a mixer!
Sweet...
Adam
