ive got a bit of a problem.

a guy contacted me via my site asking me to fix his scanner.

we agreed some details and he brought it round.

since fixing it ive been unale to get hold of him. i deleted his e-mail address as i had his mobile phone number and had spoke to him on the phone a number of times.

every time i call his phone it goes straight to voice mail and its been like this about 3-4 weeks. he has not tried to contact me - phone or e-mail.

what do i do? ive got his scanner which i would like to get rid of, as its taking up space and he owes me money for fixing it?

how long should i leave it before i take drastic action and sell it?

give it some time. is there any way you can find his email? and check your spam folder just in case he has tried to contact you through email.

3-4 weeks is not long. I'd wait at least 90 days. Stuff it in a closet somewhere and see what happens.

i dont intending on doing anything right away was just wondering what everyone esle thought.

tried his phone today and it rung, but he didnt anwser and hasnt phoned me back.

i have been in situations like this also. each time you contact him, or attempt to contact him, write it down!! have a log of dates and times you called and if you left messages or not. i would also wait a min. of 90 days to do anything also.

however, if you do not have any sort of disclaimer to state that if property is not picked up or paid for after "X" number of days, you have the right to sell or get rid of said equipment, you might get yourself in trouble. so, i would just put it somewhere and forget about it. obviously after 90 days or so if the guy hadsnt contacted you, he prob wont.

not at the moment, today is the first time in 3 weeks his phone has actually rung. i know he has my number n his phone ive spoke to him like 5 times on it before

well it would be a really good idea to leave a message. that will give him a chance to get the message and return the call.
