    Default DPSS green needs repair.

i have a DPSS green 150mw laser that needs repair.

    i broke it last night.

    the laser head broke.

the 1320 laser head, mine is like that. The "tube" popped off and (of course) it does not work now.

    HELP !!!

is it cheaper to buy a new one?

for a 150mw laser, my guess is that it is going to be MUCH MORE econimical and most likely cheapr to just purchase a new laser than it would be to fix it.

especiially if it is a main component of the laser. not just a switch or unsoldered wire.

That Amoco unit I'm not familiar with, but if it just broke apart seems could be put back together (?)

there is this tiny hairlike strand that i think broke...

the crystal and optics are all still good, they could actually be pumped with a completely different unit i suppose...

FYI the "diode" is shaped like this
    http://www.anatechinstruments.in/Pro...ODE%20copy.JPG
    but without the hole..

it may just be an "open can" diode... but i could always replace it with a closed can diode.. should make no difference

    definately C mount....

just need to replace it i guess...

The divergence and the =/- 10 nm will kill you on making green. Give Kevin @ junktronics a call and see if he has any To3 packages...or you could machine a disc and install a C mount.....
