    Default Abstract to ILDA

Anyone know of any good astract generators that will output to .ild? I think abstracts look just as amazing as graphics or beams. James let me know which files to tweak in LaserBoy for effects. Once I brush up a little on my C+, I am gonna mess around. In the meantime, anyone know of any such proggies? Free perhaps?

My friend Dean Hammonds wrote a neat little project in Visual BASIC. It creates 24-bit color abstracts that come out of his program as wave files ready to play on a modified sound card. He also dropped LaserBoy wave sub-code marks into his waves, so they can be opened in LaserBoy and converted to 24-bit color ILDA files!

I need to get a hold of him. I haven't talked to him much lately.

He said he was going to write a document on how to use it and put it out there for free with LaserBoy!

    I'll let you know.

    James.

Define abstract? That question is kind of oxymoronic. I like it.

    Like this:

    http://www.pangolin.com/LA_Studio/Abstraction.htm

This is Pangolin's program in the LAStudio suite that is used for creating abstracts for the FB3.

Looks VERY nice with multi-color projectors, too!!

LFIPlayer will soon be able to do it, once it reaches 1.1.15. It already makes great abstracts, but soon it will have the capability (with a plugin) to export them and have laserboy convert the export to ILDA.
