    Counting down the minutes..... !!!

DEVO is going to take the stage at the Akron Civic Theater tonight!

The Black Keys and Chrisy Hynde (all from Akron) will be there too!

I'm hoping for a few big surprise guests.

    Wouldn't that be neat!

I almost feel like taking it on a thumb drive, just in case there is a laser projector there!

    Maybe they already downloaded it!

Have you displayed it yet? How does it look?

My stuff is kinda' not-together right now.

I missed out on seeing Devo on their very brief UK tour last year. I simply was in the wrong towns on the wrong nights I was really gutted as I too have been a long time fan of this wonderful nutty but unique & influential band.
As a consolation (or 2) I have just bought tickets this week to see David Byrne in April next year - another music/art god - who is doing a tour starting in the US soon playing music he created along with the magnificent Brian Eno. (shame he wont be along for the tour) And in December I will be taking a trip to London to see the greatest performance art band (and the most mysterious band) in the world - The Residents - I cant wait for either of these gigs.

Still wish Id got to see Devo though Cant imagine they will come back this side again on tour.

    Well................

    I'm back from the show.

    It was awesome!

I met most of the people involved. I got signatures.

Got a bunch of cards and contact info.....

    And a few pictures.

    In case you are wondering...........

    DEVO WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't had so much fun like EVER!

    I danced like a freak!

It was so fulfilling to meet the guys who made it possible for me to make it through my teen years, in high school.

    I really can not explain........

I also met the lighting director for DEVO...........

He likes lasers but he thinks the art of lasers has stagnated for the past many years.....

He was glad to meet me!

    Let's see what happens!

    Thumbs up

That sounds like an awesome time. I'm not sure what band I would relate that to. Maybe Pink Floyd, , glad I saw Nirvana at their last concert in Lakeland... Didn't get anywhere near backstage though.

You're back a little early from a concert...

It's all good. I have a righteous BUZZ!

I'm so glad you are the one to respond. I like you. I hope you like me too.

I hope I connected. I said some real stuff to DEVO tonight.

    I met my heroes.
