scan pro 20s
hi all
i have just recieved my scan pro 20s and set them up as per instructions. all patterns and dip switches on the dmx controller side of the board are working but the auto ilda switch over doesnt seem to be operating. when i plug my dac into it the patterns carry on being displayed. i was wondering if anyone knows why this is happening?
i will be able to take some pictures if anyone would like to show how its set up. just cant work out why the switch over isnt working.
cheers oli

It may help to post some pictures, but Dave of Aijii should know the requirments to make the switch over work. I dont know if the input needs a certain signal to work properly.

im about to do this with my SP20s so i would like to know the requirements as well

Hi,
I didn't have to do anything with mine.
As soon as I plug in the 25way ILDA cable it would switch to the DAC.
I think I needed to have the DAC powered, but not sure as everything is in bits at the moment.

A question for Dave ----
I'm having trouble interfacing my Scanpro20 DMX TTL driver output with my DX red labbie. I toasted my LOC
1. Does the output of the TTL driver reference to ground?
2. What does the output look like? 0 to ??? volts.
3. Does this output drive + to the laser TTL or sink the laser's TTL control line?
My lasers are self biased on and I've seen where others needed a simple driver interface circuit. I plan to use a MOSFET driver with a simple inverter transistor.

Hi, I got a PM/email from someone at LSP last night, stating that to operate the auto switch pins 4 and 17 of the ILDA plug MUST be shorted together. hope that helps

Actually, I'm just waiting on a new style program board to arrive so that I can reverse engeneer to see what is going on. Leave it with me, and I will have all the answers..

Hi Dave, do you know how the program chips are "programmed" ?
I reckon it would be pretty cool, if you could load up your own stuff via a programmer or something, and just play it over DMX.
Cheers
