    I love the Remote Zero...

If you assign the pots to rotations and effect speeds, you can play them (twiddle) to the music...

Of course, it's not a patch on the awesome, hitec and well syled unit of Banthai's... Out of my pricerange though

However, I have to be honest and say that it's a bit overkill. In my opinion there are too many twiddly 'pots' on it.

Mark .... I know you are using a touch screen ....

do you think that a dedicated controller would be better than a touchscreen and a remote zero

the reason i ask is i have just bought this ( not joking this time )

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=110299798202

I think that the touch screen must give a better visual indication of what cues you are going to hit next, i guessing the down side may be the response time of hitting the cue

what do you think Mark ?

    Very nice,

I have an ELO touchscreen, older model though...

There is no lag between hitting a cue and the laser displaying it. I think ELO are renowned for fast response..

But trying to use faders on a touch screen doesn't work so well, which is where the Remote comes into play.

My only issue is that the screen sits at an unnatural angle for what we do. Really you want it more horizontal than vertical.

I keep thinking of making something where the screen lies flat in a case with faders around it in the same layout as Live Pro, so incorporating the touchscreen into a dedicated controller... but first, I need to find out how?

    Hi Mark

Funny you should mention about the angle .... as the sreen i have purchased is a chassis mount unit ... i have decided to mount it to a 19" rack plate to go in a flight case

i was looking at something like this

then i saw something like this

Fuck me ...... then i saw this

    all the best ... Karl

    Nice...

Exactly what you need... the last one looks great... All you need is a little picnic chair and there you go... Mission control...

i was thinking that the remote zero could go in a draw tray in the lower section .... that is if it is narrower than 19"

that should make my midi keyboard obsolete ....

picnic chair, cooler box, and patio heater all on order .....

    all the best ... Karl
