    Hi matt

when i enquired with the ELO distibutor, the rack mount kit was £99 ($156)

the screen comes with four L bracket mounts and screws that fix to the side of the screen and then to a to a front plate .... what im planning on doing is making a 10U 19" blank plate .... cutting an aperture for the screen then mounting it diectly to the plate

i have ordered the flight case in the my last picture post ( the £122 one ) but that wont be here till early december so i have some time to think about it

    this one http://www.sterlingflightcases.com/products.asp?cat=27

ouch £99 is a bit steep. I was looking into a slimline case with the lift up rachets to alter the angle of the screen so I can use it with a few different programs.

I might see how much a local engineering firm would charge to do the cutout for the screen. Its sounds like the sort of thing I'm likely to get wrong. The pdf on ELO's website is quite good though with all the dimensions.

    Cheers,

    Matt.

I just experienced a Sunday evening epiphany, straight from the garage after spending several hours building my back panel for my projector case:

    * My first EVER live laser show was put on by a band called Electric Light Orchestra, who commonly went by the acronym ELO.

    * My first touch-screen monitor purchased so I can perform live laser shows is produced by a company called ELO.

    Whoa !

No alcohol was involved during the journey towards this epiphany - at least, not today.....

And if you lived in Yorkshire you'd probably be greeted each morning by your neighbours saying in their local dialect "eee.. 'ello".

Sounds like you are destined to move to Yorkshire to complete the triple.

some good news .... i found this today .... the ELO rack mount kit with bezel , i then spoke to ELO ditectly and they confirmed that the UK rack mount kit has a different part number to the US one

UK is E399174 and USA is E579652

I have ordered one from the PC world business site for only £42 + vat and delivery 3-5 days delivery

    http://www.pcwb.com/catalogue/item/A0415539

also the page just says "LCD Bezel Dark grey" but i have confirmed directly with ELO that this part number is the 19" rack mount kit

they do have them in stock here but more expensive

and in the US they have it here

    hope this helps

    Hi guys

i thought i would do a little bit of a update .... as quite a few people have bought these screens now ... the last being Mr Sofastain ( god im bad with names )

my 19" rack frame came last week
i bought it through PCworld in the uk, you have to ask in the business centre for them to order it from ELO or you can order it online

it was £62 including Vat and delivery

im still waiting for the flight case from sterling flight cases as they are made to order in china then shipped by boat ( i was told that why they are so cheap )

and they are even cheaper now ... i paid £122 and they are now £106

also the 2U front version is now £99 but this is on order for Jan ..... see here

    http://www.sterlingflightcases.com/products.asp?cat=27

here are some photos of the rack kit with the monitor

I use one of these for live MIDI control of MB software. It works a treat!

Youtube clip of one in operation:

I am sure it would work well with LivePro plus it's a lot cheaper than the Novation.
I also have a 12" touchscreen which I use with Moncha, And Mamba 2.0 when it finally arrives. Touchscreen control is the way to go! It's so easy to use.

It's even got motorised fader's for setting presets
