Ok guys .... i decided to start a new thread before i get accused of hijacking again

    Christamas has come early

my 19" touchscreen arrived today ..... fired it up calibrated the screen loaded up livepro ..... switched to 2 monitor configuration

and my new livepro console starts to take shape

so just wanted to share this beauty

i bought it brand new from ebay for £179 inc delivery which for this model is cheap as it retails at over £600

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=110299798202

there were 10 for sale originally but some have sold ... so if you want 1 get in quick

    ok some fotos ....

Well packed inc drivers , usb, mains lead ( but no VGA cable .. so of to maplins to pick one up )

    still well packed

The screen ( chassis mount ) this has the toughened glass screen designed for vending machine and gaming machines, and there is no marks on the screen ... thats CCD burns

and the back ... touch system uses USB or that old serial thingermy jig

    connected to the laptop

just what i need for my big fat fingers

anyway off to play now ....

    all the best ... Karl

Looks like it will be hard to play that little keyboard on the screen.

    Doc ...

i know ive got a fat ass .... but im not going to select cues by sitting on it .... or were you talking about the sudden splash causing the glass to contract ...hehehe

..... there are many different types of glass screen that comes with this model and i was aware of these breaking under vigorous use of fingers ( or fists )

...but by amazing luck ... this unit had the toughend glass, this model is used in gaming machines .... and i guess when you have just lost $5,000 on a wheel of fortune slot machine .... you may be inclined to thump the screen a bit hard ..... so im really pleased .... this is the spec...

    Benefits

    • No coatings or overlays to wear, scratch, or tear
    • High impact resistance — about 2.5 times stronger than normal IntelliTouch
    • Meets UL-60950 and CSA 22.2 No. 60950 ball drop test (0.5 kg, 50 mm diameter ball dropped from height of 1.3 m)
    • Tempered, heat or chemically strengthened glass
    • Safe break pattern (tempered only)
    • Thickness ranging from 0.125 inch (3 mm) to 0.50 inch (12 mm)
    • Antiglare glass option (0.25-inch thickness only)
    • Sealable against dust, splashing liquids, and other contaminants
    • Privacy filter option for applications involving sensitive information (e.g., ATM transactions)
and the best bit is its water / splash resistent .....

Yeah but then you select the wrong effects whilst licking it off.

My finger hovered over the "Continue" button for a few moments and then I came to, wondering what happened and why I blacked out.

Arg.. bad timing. I would soooo buy one of these after seeing Francesco from Pangolin showing off LivePRO at SELEM back in August. Now that I have LivePRO and a decent M-Audio MIDI controller, this would be the perfect fit.

We'll see. I already tried rationalizing going to FLEM.. maybe I could swing this instead. ...in the next two days..
