    You're never too old Randy.
I'm approaching my half century and my preferred music is still Dance/Uplifiting Trance.
Just don't dance to it in public.
There's nothing more ridiculous than an old bloke trying to swing his pants in a disco.

Don't ya just love conspiracy theories?

Can anyone who really knows Pangolin say that our attitude is one of trying to force people to do this or force people to do that, just so we can make more money? (It's only non-Pangolin users and those who don't know us that makes this kinda stuff up...)

I think if making money was our sole intention, I wouldn't be spending my time helping hobbyists make their hardware and software better for free...

    Damn, how did THAT happen?
Yes, a bit funny. I guess this kind of dance/trance music just lends itself pretty well to laser visuals. However, Adam Bourassa did create a show to "Crazy Train" recently, and that should be right up your alley!

    Now ya tell me

I love the old prog rock stuff from my era in the early seventies. BUT, nowadays I just Lovvvvvve trance and techno stuff. My two teenage daughters aren't impressed

I guess having been a DJ throughout the mid seventies/early eighties taught me lo like allsorts of music. My musical interests are many and varied.

If I ever get a system (unlikely) I'll make you a show - Ronald Van Gelderan is your answer. He's kind of rock trance cross mix. (You are talking to a BIG trance fan here!)

Conspiracy theory? Well, if what I say is not true then you guys suck at design. I mean, really. You can't figure out a way to export and import shows to your own systems? I'm quite embarassed for you. But then again, you hire intern programmers that use Delphi.

Yep, Adam's "Crazy Train" is pretty good!

But so are all the shows done by Buffo, and most of the shows available from the LD disk set.
I guess I'm not quite as set in my ways as I thought!!

I've started building a laser show "to do" list that SHOULD keep me from being pulled TOO far into dance / trance / techno - after all, I don't think my preferred after-hours wardrobe of cargo shorts and Hawaiian shirts would fit the scene very well! If all goes as planned, I foresee some shows based around J. Geils / U2 / Who / TSO coming out of Knoxville, TN in the foreseeable future!

    Gary,

The Fb3 is pango's own.. The LA studio software isn't pango's own.
It isn't really developed by pango..so not compatible for the LD2K files.

In the future i could be that all pango hardware (incl FB3) will work on the same platform so shows will be share-able...

It doesnt matter if LAStudio was theirs or not. If you take over the company, you also take over the source code. How else do you explain that there are still updates made for LAStudio ???

The only sad thing, is that the frames from LiveQ cannot be imported in LAStudio.. although they have the same file extension. (Bill already gave me an answer for this)

Ahh well, I'm in the software/hardware business too, and with limited human resources, you have to make choices and get on the next train or die.
Beyond is Pangolins next train I guess.. I just hope us hobbiests with an FB3 got free tickets

I actually get it. I'm not just some hacker, I work for a hardware/software company that sells software licenses for $50K a seat. We do stuff like turn things off and then charge an extra $10K to turn it back on. That's the way it goes in low volume businesses. Our company has goodwill ambassadors, too. We're involved in standards committees, go to trade shows, sponsor happy hours, write white papers, etc, etc. We do more stuff for free than we get paid for... just in hopes that it will turn into a sale. So, call me a conspiracy theorist all you want.

    Gary,

    These things happen.
Pango also does these things and are there for everyone to see.
    PRO BASIC and ENTRY/INTRO packages.

Your company sells a 50K userslicence.. tuned down so i can be sold for 40K.
Maybe the people who havent got 50K to spend on a licence do spend 40K.

its buisiness...it happens everywhere and sometime it sucks for us NON COMMERCIAL "AMATEUR" HOBBY USERS.
