That is a pretty cool idea. It would be even cooler if the person on the receiving side has stereo glasses so that the two images could be received directly without the color filter glasses. That would probably give you a really nice 3D image.
Something like that would be really fun to experiment with. If you had one of those 3d cameras and hooked it up to 3d glasses, you could walk around and hold the 3d camera at different levels and feel like you are short or tall.
