Default Discoscan Video / Hugos Work

Came across this whilst looking for something else.

Its a good video of the disco scan in action (I know a few people have asked about this device).

Further in, more examples of some of Hugo's amazing colour work - whitest whites and deepest reds.

Saying that it could be the Dazzler as its being reflected from the mirror ball. Maybe Bill could clarify when he sees this.

It's just a complete laserprojector (with CT6215 scans) rigged below a big mirror ball (just a normal - I thought 2 meter mirror ball) pointing up.. No Discoscan or Dazzler or whatever.

I should have some pictures and movies from that event (I went there for some hours just to see the show from FOH).

Iw as wrong then. Nice effect though, same as the disco scan but via the projector. Wonder how they suspended it safely?

its attached to the lighting rig ring like this one

Or something similar.. their rig looks to be a bit bigger in the video.. may just be a standard straight rig

you can see the shadow of the other lights on the rig as well..

Mirror ball flying below truss. 4 steels from that truss to a 1m piece truss below the mirror ball. Projector mounted at 1m piece of truss. Projector has seperate source/scanhead so the scanhead could easily be rotated upwards.

No, direct (optical screw ring) for the normal DPSS lasers. Fiber coupled to the big Jenlas whitelight laser to be able to have the big source at the ground and the projector rigged on stage.

Now I have got to make one of these, it really doesn't look all that hard to do...
