    Oops, missed this one. the TEC is 0.098" thick, 0.32" at the length, and 0.258" wide.

    The motor I believe runs using the 5V and +12V rail.

    The large lens you see is the pickup lens, there is a smaller multi-element lens for laser focus.

    Shipping to AUS would probably be more than the cost of the unit.

    with the sensor, diode TEC, collimator and spinning mirror, those make a pretty decent all-integrated laser harp base

    yeah, and with the DSP on it, if someone put enough time and work into it could probably be reprogrammed to become a laser harp as-is. IF being the important word there

    what's the DSP part number? most of them still have code-protect fuses or are OTP devices

    it seems from the datasheets that both are easily programmable, but the worse part of the job would be to trace the I/O buses between them
