Just put one diode with the casing pin UP and the the other diode with the casing pin to the right. Allign both lasers so you have one beam (instead of 2) on you are ready to go.
you can find some DIY builds at the laserfreak forum.
I'm now building a TEC cooled 2 x 200mW 650nm setup
Default the 650nm diodes lase at 658nm, by cooling the diodes to 10 or 15 degrees I want to try if I can get them to <650nm.
If you overdrive the diodes the diodes can get warm and they will run at 660nm
Next year when the price drops for the 640nm diodes I will replace the 650 for 640nm diodes.
When I have time I will post some pictures.
here is a few pictures of rob's (stanwax) setup

Not the best angle, but it gives you the basic idea... (This is my old layout, before the new green laser and before DZ re-wired it.) You can just see the edge of the PBS cube in this pic.

As with aligning any pair of laser beams you need to get the near field alignment right. To do this the 2 beams should hit the 45 degree plane in the cube at as close to the same place as possible. Without near field alignment you dont stand a cat in hells chance of getting good results as the beams will only ever align at one point somewhere out the front of your projector. If NFA is good then bring the 2 dots into line - preferabley while scanning and you will have a nice aligned beam at all points.
if you dont understand what I mean it may be clearer if you take a look at my alignment guide here - http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=3390
There are some images on the second page that should explain far and near field alignment a bit more easily.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

damnit, I should have read some german in school! Where do they get all those nice drivers and TEC-controllers at laserfreak?
Look at this dual driver with TEC-controller:

They talk about "Guido", who is that, does he sell the PCB's or is he the inventor of the circuit?
Altavista helps a bit sometimes...
this is guido's site.
