guys, there is no magic in the driver, its the optics and quite possibly that diode is a little better quality then most. Its a sony,although a industrial product, not a DVD one. Since Chuck was a video guy, he had connections at sony 's industrial and OEm, also known as Sony Professional. I just don't know which part number. I dont want to tear mine down, but if the optics were to appear here, I'd run them on the optical bench and figgure out what was what. There is a bit more to it then just focal lengths. My gripe is that driver board is not big enough to have enough diode protection on it. In its time it was a good product, well placed in the market and many of us needed them when it came out.

i dont think he was ever out to screw the world over ... im not siding with him .... but for a long time here everyone thought he was the best thing since HeNe tubes ... and he certainly made an impact on the hobbiest scene ... I just think that his personal problems damaged his business

to see what he did to good people here ( especialy fluff ) its sad ... because chuck had a great reputation ... he could have made the situation better by publicly apologising to those concered and trying to improve the situation..... its difficult for me to say what he should have done ... without knowing the issues behind it .... ~( but i think he did give a hint some times )

unfortunatley, im sure its too late now to gain any respect
