Hi guys..
The following are some pix of my latest greenie... its a 1 watt Laser Wave unit using DT 40 Pros that I had in stock..
I have used a different approach to this one in the mechanical area. I am posting in case anyone wants to try this..
One of our problems is finding nice straight flat sheet to build on. It occurred to me that extruded ali' in about 100mm by 25mm in 3mm thick may be a way to go. With a greenie there is only simple optics to worry about and there is nowhere written that it all has to be on the same piece of metal... is there ??
So this is how I did it..
Please note a few points..
1) This unit took only about 20 hours to build..
2) Yes it still has to be painted black
3) It does NOT currently have a shutter or key switch so would not comply with CDRH requirements.
My interest was how to do it a bit different
How to do it quickly.
How to capitilise on ready made cases / chasis
How to do it without using any fancy tools..
How to make it nice and small..... this is about 300mm x 280mm
It works like a dream..
Disclaimer..
Please note no tools were harmed during the making of this laser...
Cheers
