Default Lasershow I did @ Youtube

    Hi folks,

I posted some pictures of a show I did last weekend in the "Skewed"-topic, about some skewed-image-problems (they were of course solved within a day thanks to Photonlexicon!)

I found this movie of the event:

    Have fun watching it

    (Pictures are here!)

I was almost waiting for those replies to come.. Funny how people can have an opinion without even knowing what power the lasers are, how the scanrate/attenuation map/zones are configured, what frames were used, and what the distance of the audience to the lasers was.

Yes, the lasers are 1000mw each. Scanrate is 30K. Distance from lasers to the first "hitpoint" with the audience is almost 30 meters.

(Small "sidestep": This show was also last weekend in Holland. All lasers 6 watt and above, up to 12 watt: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vBp7dwCvhgI . I think about 50 people had to go to first-aid - Just joking, they used to many hard/softdrugs or alcohol.).

The still, was that scanned or diffraction grating?

Also, the stills camera distorts the power. When you look at the video it looks much weaker, not that you can tell anything off a video of course.

I for one have faith in you Jeroen. I doub't you'd be allowed to work with Hugo if you're weren't safe.

What still do you mean? I don't use diffraction gratings, I'm using scanners only.

Well, I don't work with Hugo, neither do I work for Laser Image, I'm using their projectors when I need extra ones or other colours. I'm only working with Laser Image when I'm doing lighting jobs where they supply lasers - and I've learned many things from them.

I'm very careful with what I do and how I do it. I'm using the attenuation map of the QM2000 to set lower power for the audience-area, I make my zones very secure and I have my emergency-stop right in front of me
